Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " اتَّقُوا اللاَّعِنَيْنِ " . قَالُوا وَمَا اللاَّعِنَانِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ " الَّذِي يَتَخَلَّى فِي طَرِيقِ النَّاسِ أَوْ ظِلِّهِمْ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Guard yourselves against two things that invite cursing.' The Companions asked: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), what are these two things?' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) replied: 'Relieving oneself on people's pathways or in places where they seek shade (and rest).'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: لعنت کا باعث بننے والے دو کاموں سے بچو۔ صحابہ کرام نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! لعنت کے وہ دو کام کون سے ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: لوگوں کے راستے میں یا ان کے سائے (آرام گاہ) میں قضائے حاجت کرنا۔
