Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اعْتَكَفَ أَزْوَاجُهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ .
English Translation
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha Siddiqah (may Allah be well pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to observe i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan until Allah the Exalted took him (from this world). Then his blessed wives observed i'tikaf after him.

حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم رمضان کے آخری عشرے میں اعتکاف فرماتے تھے یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کو وفات دی، پھر آپ کے بعد آپ کی ازواج مطہرات نے اعتکاف کیا۔
