Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ النَّاسُ مُرْسَلاً مَعْرُوفٌ .
English Translation
The same hadith is narrated as mursal (without mentioning the Companion) from Ikrimah from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Abu Dawud (upon him be mercy) said: Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) is not mentioned in it, and the people also narrated it as mursal, and this is well-known.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عکرمہ سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اسی حدیث کی مرسل روایت ہے۔ حضرت ابوداؤد فرماتے ہیں: اس میں حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما کا ذکر نہیں کیا اور لوگوں نے بھی اسے مرسل ہی روایت کیا ہے اور یہ معروف ہے۔
