Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، بِمَعْنَاهُ قَالَ " عَرِّفْهَا حَوْلاً " . وَقَالَ ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ قَالَ فَلاَ أَدْرِي قَالَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فِي سَنَةٍ أَوْ فِي ثَلاَثِ سِنِينَ .
English Translation
Hadrat This hadith has also been narrated through another chain from Shu'bah with the same meaning. This version states that he said 'make it known' three times. The narrator (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: I do not know whether he said 'for a year' or 'for three years.'
Urdu Translation
اس سند سے بھی شعبہ سے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث مروی ہے۔ اس میں ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے تین مرتبہ «تشہیر کرو» فرمایا — راوی کہتے ہیں: مجھے نہیں معلوم کہ آپ نے یہ بات ایک سال کے بارے میں فرمائی یا تین سال کے بارے میں۔
