حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا كَهْمَسٌ، عَنْ سَيَّارِ بْنِ مَنْظُورٍ، - رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي فَزَارَةَ - عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ، يُقَالُ لَهَا بُهَيْسَةُ عَنْ أَبِيهَا، قَالَتِ اسْتَأْذَنَ أَبِي النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَدَخَلَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ قَمِيصِهِ فَجَعَلَ يُقَبِّلُ وَيَلْتَزِمُ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا الشَّىْءُ الَّذِي لاَ يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ قَالَ " الْمَاءُ " . قَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَا الشَّىْءُ الَّذِي لاَ يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ قَالَ " الْمِلْحُ " . قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا الشَّىْءُ الَّذِي لاَ يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ قَالَ " أَنْ تَفْعَلَ الْخَيْرَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Buhaysah narrates from her father: My father sought permission to come to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). When permission was granted, he entered beneath the blessed shirt of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), began kissing his blessed body and embracing him (out of immense love). Then he submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! What is the thing which it is unlawful to withhold? He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Water. He submitted: O the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) of Allah! What is the thing which it is unlawful to withhold? He stated: Salt. He submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! What is the thing which it is unlawful to withhold? He stated: To do good is better for you (meaning, withhold no possible act of goodness from anyone).
Urdu Translation
حضرت بہیسہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتی ہیں کہ میرے والد نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے (حاضری کی) اجازت طلب کی، (جب اجازت ملی) تو وہ حضور صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی قمیص مبارک کے اندر داخل ہوئے اور آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے بدن اطہر کو بوسہ دینے لگے اور آپ سے لپٹ گئے، پھر عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! وہ کون سی چیز ہے جس کا روکنا حلال نہیں؟ ارشاد فرمایا: پانی۔ عرض کیا: یا نبی اللہ! وہ کون سی چیز ہے جس کا روکنا حلال نہیں؟ ارشاد فرمایا: نمک۔ عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! وہ کون سی چیز ہے جس کا روکنا حلال نہیں؟ ارشاد فرمایا: نیکی کرنا تمہارے لیے بہتر ہے (یعنی ہر ممکن بھلائی سے کسی کو محروم نہ رکھو)۔
