حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، - الْمَعْنَى - عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، قَالَ سَأَلَ قَتَادَةُ أَنَسًا أَىُّ دَعْوَةٍ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَكْثَرَ قَالَ كَانَ أَكْثَرُ دَعْوَةٍ يَدْعُو بِهَا " اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ " . وَزَادَ زِيَادٌ وَكَانَ أَنَسٌ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِدَعْوَةٍ دَعَا بِهَا وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِدُعَاءٍ دَعَا بِهَا فِيهَا .
English Translation
Qatadah asked Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him): Which supplication did the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) make most frequently? He said: 'The supplication he made most was: "Allahumma Rabbana atina fi al-dunya hasanah wa fi al-akhirati hasanah wa qina 'adhab al-Nar" (O Allah, our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire).' Ziyad added: Whenever Hadrat Anas wanted to make any supplication, he would make this one, and whenever he wanted to make any supplication, he would include this one.
Urdu Translation
قتادہ نے حضرت انس (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) سے پوچھا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سب سے زیادہ کون سی دعا فرماتے تھے؟ فرمایا: آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی سب سے زیادہ دعا یہ تھی: اَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ (اے اللہ! ہمارے رب! ہمیں دنیا میں بھی بھلائی دے اور آخرت میں بھی بھلائی دے اور آگ کے عذاب سے بچا)۔ زیاد نے اضافہ کیا: انس جب بھی کوئی دعا کرنا چاہتے یہی دعا کرتے اور جب بھی کوئی دعا مانگنا چاہتے اس میں یہ دعا شامل کرتے۔
