حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا عَنْ قِرَاءَةِ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ كَانَ يَمُدُّ مَدًّا .
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) was asked about the recitation of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). He said: 'He used to elongate (the letters of madd) considerably.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی قراءت کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو فرمایا: آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم مد کو کھینچ کر پڑھتے تھے۔
