حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُنَيْسٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي بَادِيَةً أَكُونُ فِيهَا وَأَنَا أُصَلِّي فِيهَا بِحَمْدِ اللَّهِ فَمُرْنِي بِلَيْلَةٍ أَنْزِلُهَا إِلَى هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ . فَقَالَ " انْزِلْ لَيْلَةَ ثَلاَثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ " . فَقُلْتُ لاِبْنِهِ كَيْفَ كَانَ أَبُوكَ يَصْنَعُ قَالَ كَانَ يَدْخُلُ الْمَسْجِدَ إِذَا صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ فَلاَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ لِحَاجَةٍ حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ الصُّبْحَ فَإِذَا صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ وَجَدَ دَابَّتَهُ عَلَى بَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَجَلَسَ عَلَيْهَا فَلَحِقَ بِبَادِيَتِهِ .
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Unays (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: 'I submitted: "O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), I have a place in the countryside where I live, and I pray there by the grace of Allah. So tell me a night when I should come down to this mosque." He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Come down on the twenty-third night."' I asked his son: 'How did your father act?' He said: 'He would enter the mosque after 'Asr prayer and not leave for any need until he prayed the dawn prayer. When he prayed the dawn prayer, he would find his mount at the door of the mosque, mount it, and return to his countryside.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن اُنَیس (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) فرماتے ہیں: میں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میرا ایک گاؤں ہے جہاں میں رہتا ہوں اور اللہ کا شکر وہاں بھی نماز پڑھتا ہوں — مجھے ایک رات بتائیں جس میں اس مسجد (مسجد نبوی) میں آؤں — ارشاد فرمایا: تئیسویں رات آ جاؤ — میں نے ان کے بیٹے سے پوچھا: تمہارے والد کیا کرتے تھے؟ فرمایا: عصر کے بعد مسجد میں آ جاتے اور کسی ضرورت سے بھی باہر نہ نکلتے یہاں تک کہ صبح کی نماز پڑھ لیتے — جب صبح کی نماز پڑھ لیتے تو اپنی سواری مسجد کے دروازے پر تیار پاتے اور اس پر سوار ہو کر اپنے گاؤں چلے جاتے۔
