Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9855 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ وَعَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ قَرَأْتُ الْمُفَصَّلَ فِي رَكْعَةٍ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بَلْ هَذَذْتَ كَهَذِّ الشِّعْرِ وَكَنَثْرِ الدَّقَلِ وَلَكِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ النَّظَائِرَ فِي رَكْعَةٍ فَذَكَرَ عَشْرَ رَكَعَاتٍ بِعِشْرِينَ سُورَةٍ عَنْ تَأْلِيفِ عَبْدِ اللهِ آخِرُهُنَّ إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ وَالدُّخَانُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdullah reported that a man came to him and said: 'I recited al-Mufassal in one rak'ah.' Abdullah said: 'Rather, you rushed through it like the rushing of poetry and like scattering bad dates. But the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to recite the similar surahs in one rak'ah.' He mentioned ten rak'ahs with twenty surahs according to Abdullah's arrangement, the last of which were 'When the sun is wrapped up' and 'al-Dukhan.'
