Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9404 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ «بِتُّ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ لَيْلَةً §فَقَامَ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي فَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ قِرَاءَةَ الْإِمَامِ فِي مَسْجِدِ حَيِّهِ يُرَتِّلُ وَلَا يُرَجِّعُ يُسْمِعُ مَنْ حَوْلَهُ وَلَا يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ حَتَّى لَمْ يَبْقَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْغَلَسِ إِلَّا كَمَا بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ لِلْمَغْرِبِ إِلَى انْصِرَافٍ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ أَوْتَرَ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Alqamah said: 'I spent the night with Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. He rose early in the night and then stood to pray. He would recite like the imam in the mosque of his neighborhood — measured and clear, without repeating — heard by those around him but not raising his voice. He continued until there remained of the pre-dawn darkness only the amount between the call for Maghrib and its completion, then he prayed Witr.'
