Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9282 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ قَالَ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يَقُولُ «تَجَوَّزُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَإِنَّ خَلْفَكُمُ الْكَبِيرَ وَالضَّعِيفَ وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ» وَكُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ إِمَامَنَا وَعَلَيْنَا ثِيَابُنَا فَيَقْرَأُ السُّورَةَ مِنَ الْمِئِينَ ثُمَّ نَنْطَلِقُ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ فَنَجِدُهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) used to say: 'Be brief in prayer, for behind you are the elderly, the weak, and those with needs.' We used to pray with our imam while wearing our garments, and he would recite a surah from the Mi'in (those with approximately one hundred verses). Then we would go to Abdullah and find him still in prayer.
