الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Mas'ud came out to the people of his household and said to them: 'Whoever among you has come seeking a legal ruling, let him sit until we issue it. Whoever has come with a dispute, let him bring his opponent so we may judge between them. Whoever has come to expose a fault that Allah has concealed, let him conceal himself with Allah\'s concealment and confess it privately to the One who has power to forgive, for we do not have the power to forgive it, and we would have to impose the legal punishment.'
