الترجمة الإنجليزية
Al-Muthanna ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Khuza'i narrated — and he was his companion to Wasit, and whenever he ate, he would say the basmalah, and when he reached his last morsel, he would say "In the name of Allah, its beginning and its end." He asked him about it and he said: My grandfather Umayyah ibn Makhshi, who was a companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him), told me that a man was eating with the Prophet (peace be upon him) without mentioning Allah's name. When he reached his last morsel, he said: "In the name of Allah, its beginning and its end." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The devil was eating with him until he said that — at its beginning and its end — then the devil vomited everything he had eaten."
