Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:8510 حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ ذُكِرَ الدَّجَّالُ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَ «لَا تُكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَهُ فَإِنَّ الْأَمْرَ إِذَا قُضِيَ فِي السَّمَاءِ كَانَ أَسْرَعُ لِنُزُولِهِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ أَنْ يَظْهَرَ عَلَى أَلْسِنَةِ النَّاسِ» قَالَ «أَلَا وَكَيْفَ بِكُمْ وَالْقَوْمُ آمِنُونَ وَأَنْتُمْ خَائِفُونَ؟ وَكَيْفَ بِكُمْ وَالْقَوْمُ فِي الظِّلِّ وَأَنْتُمْ فِي الضِّحِّ؟»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Dajjal was mentioned in the presence of 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, and he said: "Do not speak much of him, for when a matter is decreed in heaven, what brings it down to earth fastest is that it appears on the tongues of people." He then said: "How will you be when the people (oppressors) are secure while you are afraid? And how will you be when the people are in shade while you are in the sun?"
