حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا الْمُطَرِّزُ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَطَّانُ ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَسَارٍ قَالَ «شَهِدْتُ مَوْتَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَانْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمَئِذٍ» «شَهِدْتُ مَوْتَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَانْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمَئِذٍ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Umar ibn al-Khattab said in one of his sermons: 'Indeed, I have been placed in charge of you, and were it not for the hope that I am the best among you for you, the strongest of you on your behalf, and the most resolute among you in the matters that befall you, I would not have done this.'
