Abu Umamah reported: I entered upon Abu Umamah in the mosque and found him reclining. I said, 'O Abu Umamah, narrate to me from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).' He said, 'Yes, indeed if I had not heard it from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) except once, or twice, or three times, or four, or five, I would not have narrated it to you. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: When the Muslim man performs ablution and then goes to prayer, his sins come out from his hearing, his sight, his hands, and his feet.' Abu Zabyah said: Amr ibn Abasah narrated to us from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) a similar hadith and added: 'When a man retires to his bed in a state of purity and then wakes up during the night, he does not ask Allah for any good of this world or the Hereafter except that Allah grants it to him.'
