Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:7098 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ حَدَّثَنِي خُبَيْبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَنَا «يُوشِكُ أَنْ تَكُونُوا فِي النَّاسِ كَالْمِلْحِ فِي الطَّعَامِ لَا يَصْلُحُ الطَّعَامُ إِلَّا بِالْمِلْحِ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'None of you should wish for death because of a calamity that has befallen him. If he must, let him say: O Allah, keep me alive as long as life is better for me, and cause me to die when death is better for me.'
