Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:6057 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا الْهُذَيْلُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ الْفَزَارِيُّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ مَوْلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ صُوحَانَ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ مَوْلَايَ زَيْدِ بْنِ صُوحَانَ فِي السُّوقِ فَمَرَّ عَلَيْنَا سَلْمَانُ الْفَارِسِيُّ وَقَدِ اشْتَرَى وُسْقًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ زَيْدٌ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ تَفْعَلُ هَذَا وَأَنْتَ صَاحِبُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ النَّفْسَ إِذَا أَحْرَزَتْ رِزْقَهَا اطْمَأَنَّتْ وتَفَرَّغَتْ لِلْعِبَادَةِ وَأَيِسَ مِنْهَا الْوَسْوَاسُ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Salim, the freed slave of Zayd ibn Sawhan, said: I was with my master Zayd ibn Sawhan in the marketplace when Salman al-Farisi passed by, having bought a wasq (a load) of food. Zayd said to him: "O Abu 'Abdullah, you do this while you are a Companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?" He said: "Indeed, when the soul secures its provision, it becomes tranquil and is freed for worship, and the whisperer (Satan) despairs of it."
