Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:5951 حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا الصَّلْتُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ��َالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِذْ جَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ تَعْرِضُ نَفْسَهَا عَلَيْهِ فَخَفَّضَ فِيهَا الْبَصَرَ وَرَفَعَهُ فَلَمْ يُرْجِعْهَا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ زَوِّجْنِيهَا قَالَ «هَلْ عِنْدَكَ شَيْءٌ؟» قَالَ لَا وَاللهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا عِنْدِي مِنْ شَيْءٍ قَالَ «وَلَا خَاتَمٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ؟» قَالَ وَلَا خَاتَمٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ وَلَكِنْ أَشُقُّ بُرْدِي هَذِهِ وأُعْطِيهَا وَآخُذُ النِّصْفَ فَقَالَ «لَا وَلَكِنْ مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ شَيْءٌ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «اذْهَبْ فَقَدْ زَوَّجْتُكَهَا عَلَى مَا مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sahl ibn Sa'd said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) when a woman came offering herself to him. He looked at her up and down but did not respond to her. A man from his companions said: "O Messenger of Allah, marry me to her." He said: "Do you have anything?" He said: "No, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah. I have nothing." He said: "Not even an iron ring?" He said: "Not even an iron ring, but I will tear this garment of mine and give her half." He said: "No, but do you know anything of the Quran?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Go, for I have married you to her for what you know of the Quran."
