Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:5904 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ «كُنَّا نَفْرَحُ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ» قُلْتُ وَلِمَ؟ قَالَ «كَانَتْ لَنَا عَجُوزٌ تُرْسِلُ فَتَأْخُذُ مِنْ أُصُولِ السِّلْقِ فَتَطْرَحُهُ فِي قِدْرٍ فَتُكَرْكِرُ حَبَّاتٍ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ فَتَجْعَلُهَا فِيهِ فَكُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا الْجُمُعَةَ انْصَرَفْنَا إِلَيْهَا وَكُنَّا نَفْرَحُ بِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ وَمَا كُنَّا نَقِيلُ إِلَّا بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sahl ibn Sa'd said: We used to be happy on the day of Jumu'ah (Friday). I said: "Why?" He said: "There was an elderly woman who would send someone to gather the roots of chard, throw them in a pot, and grind some barley grains and add them. When we finished the Friday prayer, we would go to her, and we used to look forward to Friday because of that. We would not take our midday nap except after Jumu'ah."
