Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:5520 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا خَلَّادُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَدِمَتْ بَكْرُ بْنُ وَائِلٍ مَكَّةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «ائْتِهِمْ فَاعْرِضْنِي عَلَيْهِمْ» فَأَتَاهُمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ مَنِ الْقَوْمُ؟ قَالُوا بَنُو ذُهْلِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ قَالَ لَيْسَ إِيَّاكُمْ أُرِيدُ أَنْتُمُ الْأَذْنَابُ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ دَغْفَلٌ فَقَالَ وَمَنْ أَنْتُمْ؟ قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ قَالَ أَمِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَمِنْ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأَنْتَ مِنَ الْأَذْنَابِ؟ ثُمَّ عَادَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثَانِيَةً فَقَالَ مَنِ الْقَوْمُ؟ قَالُوا بَنُو ذُهْلِ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ قَالَ إِيَّاكُمْ أُرِيدُ فَعَرَضَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالُوا حَتَّى يَجِيءَ شَيْخُنَا فُلَانٌ قَالَ خَلَّادٌ أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ خَارِجَةَ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ شَيْخُهُمْ عَرَضَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ فَقَالَ إِنَّ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْفُرْسِ حَرْبًا فَإِذَا فَرَغْنَا مِمَّا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ عُدْنَا فَنَنْظُرُ فِيمَا تَقُولُ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ غَلَبْتُمُوهُمْ أَتَتْبَعُنَا عَلَى أَمْرِنَا؟ قَالَ لَا نَشْتَرِطُ لَكَ هَذَا عَلَيْنَا وَلَكِنْ إِذَا فَرَغْنَا مِمَّا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ عُدْنَا فَنَظَرْنَا فِيمَا تَقُولُ فَلَمَّا الْتَقَوْا يَوْمَ ذِي قَارٍ هُمْ وَالْفُرْسُ قَالَ شَيْخُهُمْ مَا اسْمُ الرَّجُلِ الَّذِي دَعَاكُمْ إِلَى مَا دَعَاكُمْ إِلَيْهِ؟ قَالُوا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ فَهُوَ شِعَارُكُمْ فَنُصِرُوا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «بِي نُصِرُوا»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Sa'id ibn al-'As narrated from his grandfather that when Bakr ibn Wa'il came to Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Go to them and present me to them." Abu Bakr went to them and asked: "Who are the people?" They said: "Banu Dhuhl ibn Tha'labah." He said: "You are not the ones I want — you are the tails." Daghfal stood up and asked: "Who are you?" Abu Bakr said: "A man from Quraysh." He said: "From Banu Hashim?" He said: "No." "From Banu Umayyah?" "No." He said: "Then you are from the tails too." Abu Bakr returned a second time and found Banu Dhuhl ibn Shayban. He presented Islam to them. They said: "Wait until our elder comes." When the elder came, Abu Bakr presented it to him. He said: "There is a war between us and the Persians. When we finish with them, we will consider what you say." When they met the Persians at the Battle of Dhu Qar, the elder asked: "What was the name of the man who called you to what he called you to?" They said: "Muhammad." He said: "Let that be your battle cry." They were victorious. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "By me they were granted victory."
