Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:4156 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْعِجْلِيُّ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ شِمْرِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ خُرَيْمِ بْنِ فَاتِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَيُّ رَجُلٍ أَنْتَ لَوْلَا خَلَّتَانِ فِيكَ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا هُمَا؟ قَالَ «تُسْبِلُ إِزَارَكَ وتُرْخِي شَعْرَكَ» قُلْتُ لَا جَرَمَ لَا أَعُودُ قَالَ «فَجَزَّ شَعْرَهُ وَرَفَعَ إِزَارَهُ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Khuraym ibn Fatik reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "What an excellent man you would be, were it not for two traits in you." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what are they?" He said: "You let your lower garment trail and you let your hair grow long." I said: "I shall never do so again." So he cut his hair and raised his lower garment.
