Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:4063 ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَنَابٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ وَاصِلِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي سَوْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ لِي ابْنَ أَخٍ لَا يَنْتَهِي عَنْ حَرَامٍ قَالَ «مَا دِينُهُ؟» قَالَ يُصَلِّي ويُوَحِّدُ اللهَ قَالَ «فَاسْتَوْهِبْ مِنْهُ دِينَهُ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَابْتَعْهُ مِنْهُ» فَطَلَبَ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْهُ فَأَبَى عَلَيْهِ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ وَجَدْتُهُ شَحِيحًا عَلَى دِينِهِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ}
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Ayyub reported: A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: "I have a nephew who does not refrain from what is forbidden." He said: "What is his religion?" He said: "He prays and affirms the oneness of Allah." He said: "Ask him for his religion as a gift, and if he refuses, then buy it from him." The man sought that from his nephew, but he refused. He came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and informed him. The Prophet said: "I found him stingy with his religion." Then Allah, the Exalted, revealed: "Indeed, Allah does not forgive that partners be associated with Him, and He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills."
