Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:4022 حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْكِنْدِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الرَّبِيعَ بْنَ خُثَيْمٍ وَذَكَرَ عِنْدَهُ مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَقُولُ «§لَا إِلَهُ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ إِلَّا كُنَّ لَهُ عِدْلَ أَرْبَعِ رِقَابٍ» قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لِلرَّبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ وَاللهِ مَا يُعْجِبُنِي مِنْ قَوْلِكُمْ فِيهَا وَإِنِّي لَأَرَاها أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ وأَرْبَعِمِائَةٍ فَقُلْتُ لِلرَّبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ مَنْ أَخْبَرَكَ بِهَذَا؟ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْأَوْدِيُّ فَأَلْقَى عَمْرَو بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَنْتَ أَخْبَرْتَ الرَّبِيعَ بِكَذَا وَكَذَا؟ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ فَقُلْتُ مِمَّنْ سَمِعْتَ ذَاكَ؟ فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى فَأَلْقَى عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ أَخْبَرَنِي بِكَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ صَدَقَ أَنَا أَخْبَرْتُهُنَّ إِيَّاهُ قُلْتُ عَمَّنْ تَرْوِيهِ؟ قَالَ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Al-Sha'bi reported: "I heard al-Rabi' ibn Khuthaym mention: 'No man says: There is no deity except Allah, alone, without partner; to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things — except that they will be equivalent to freeing four slaves.' I said to al-Rabi': 'By Allah, what you say about it does not impress me, for I consider it better than four and four hundred.' I asked al-Rabi': 'Who told you this?' He said: ''Amr ibn Maymun al-Awdi told me.' I met 'Amr ibn Maymun and he confirmed it. I asked: 'From whom did you hear it?' He said: ''Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla told me.' I met 'Abd al-Rahman and asked. He said: 'True, I told them.' I asked: 'From whom do you narrate it?' He said: 'From Abu Ayyub, the companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).'"
