الترجمة الإنجليزية
Qays said: 'We entered upon Khabbab to visit him, and he had been cauterized seven times. He said: Our companions who preceded us departed without this world diminishing them at all, and we obtained after them that for which we find no place except the ground. Then we came to visit him again, and he was building a wall. He said: Indeed a Muslim is rewarded for everything he spends except what he puts in the ground. Were it not that the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade us from wishing for death, I would have wished for it.'
