الترجمة الإنجليزية
Humayd ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Himyari narrated that a man called Hamamah, from the companions of Muhammad (peace be upon him), went out as a fighter to Isfahan during the caliphate of 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Isfahan was conquered, and Hamamah said: 'O Allah, Hamamah claims that he loves to meet You. If he is truthful, then resolve him upon it sincerely, and if he is a liar, then resolve him upon it even if he dislikes it.' He was struck with stomach illness and died in Isfahan. Abu Musa said: 'O people, by Allah, we have not heard from your Prophet (peace be upon him), and our knowledge has not reached us, except that Hamamah is a martyr.'
