Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:3582 حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «اهْجُوا قُرَيْشًا فَإِنَّهُ أَشَدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ رَشْقِ النَّبْلِ» فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى ابْنِ رَوَاحَةَ فَقَالَ «اهْجُهُمْ» فَهَجَاهُمْ فَلَمْ يَرْضَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى حَسَّانِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ حَسَّانٌ قَالَ «قَدْ آنَ لَكُمْ أَنْ تُرْسِلُوا إِلَى هَذَا الْأَسَدِ الضَّارِبِ بِذَنَبِهِ» ثُمَّ دَلَعَ لِسَانَهُ فَجَعَلَ يُحَرِّكُهُ قَالَ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَأَفْرِيَنَّهُمْ فَرْيَ الْأَدِيمِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَعْجَلْ فَإِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَعْلَمُ قُرَيْشٍ بِأَنْسَابِهَا وَإِنَّ لِي فِيهِمْ نَسَبًا حَتَّى يَخْلُصَ لَكَ نَسَبِي» فَأَتَاهُ حَسَّانٌ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ خَلَصَ لِي نَسَبُكَ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَأَسُلَّنَّكَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تُسَلُّ الشَّعَرَةُ مِنَ الْعَجِينِ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِحَسَّانٍ «إِنَّ رُوحَ الْقُدُسِ لَا يَزَالُ يُؤَيِّدُكَ مَا نَافَحْتَ عَنِ اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ» قَالَتْ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «هَجَاهُمْ حَسَّانُ فَشَفَى وَاشْتَفَى» قَالَ حَسَّانُ

Aisha narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Satirize the Quraysh, for it is harder upon them than a volley of arrows.' He sent for Ibn Rawahah and said: 'Satirize them.' He satirized them but it did not satisfy. Then he sent for Ka'b ibn Malik. Then he sent for Hassan ibn Thabit. When Hassan entered, he said: 'It is time for you to send for this lion striking with his tail.' Then he stuck out his tongue and moved it and said: 'By the One who sent you with the truth, I will rip them apart like leather.' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Do not rush, for Abu Bakr is the most knowledgeable of Quraysh in their lineages, and I have kinship among them, so let him clarify my lineage for you.' Hassan went to him then returned and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, your lineage has been clarified for me. By the One who sent you with the truth, I will extract you from them as a hair is extracted from dough.' Aisha said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say to Hassan: 'Indeed the Holy Spirit will continue to support you as long as you defend Allah and His Messenger.'
