الترجمة الإنجليزية
Narrated Abu al-Malih ibn Usamah: Hamal ibn Malik ibn al-Nabighah had two co-wives: Mulaykah and Umm Afif. One of them struck the other with a stone, hitting her private parts, and she delivered a dead fetus and died. This was brought to the Prophet (peace be upon him), who made her blood money the responsibility of the killer's people. He ruled that for the fetus there was a ghurrah: a male slave or female slave, or twenty camels, or one hundred sheep. The victim's guardian said, 'By Allah, O Prophet of Allah, it did not eat, did not drink, did not cry out, and such a one should go unavenged!' The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, 'We have nothing to do with the rhyming speech of the Jahiliyyah.'
