Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:2577 حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ السَّمَّانُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَامِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ ؓ حِينَ وَلَدَتْهُ فَاطِمَةُ ؓ أَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَعُقَّ عَنْهُ بِكَبْشٍ عَظِيمٍ فَأَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا تَعُقِّي عَنْهُ بِشَيْءٍ وَلَكِنِ احْلِقِي شَعَرَ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ تَصَدَّقِي بِوَزْنِهِ مِنَ الْوَرِقِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ عَلَى الْأَوْفَاضِ» «ثُمَّ وَلَدَتِ الْحُسَيْنَ ؓ مِنَ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ فَصَنَعَتْ بِهِ كَذَلِكَ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Rafi' reported: When Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) gave birth to al-Hasan, she wanted to perform the 'aqiqah for him with a large ram. She came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he said: "Do not perform the 'aqiqah with anything. Rather, shave the hair of his head and give in charity the weight of it in silver in the way of Allah or to the needy." Then she gave birth to al-Husayn the following year and did the same.
