Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:1677 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا ابْنُ عَائِشَةَ قَالَا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِجُنْدُبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ إِنِّي بَايَعْتُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ عَلَى أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ أَهْلَ الشَّامِ قَالَ لَعَلَّكَ تَقُولُ أَفْتَانِي جُنْدُبٌ وأَقْتَدِي قَالَ قُلْتُ مَا أُرِيدُ ذَلِكَ وَلَكِنِّي أَسْتَفْتِيكَ لِتُفْتِيَنِي قَالَ فَقَالَ افْتَدِ بِمَالِكَ قُلْتُ لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنِّي قَالَ جُنْدُبٌ كُنْتُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ غُلَامًا حَزَوَّرًا وَأَنَّ فُلَانًا أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَجِيءُ الْمَقْتُولُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِقَاتِلِهِ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِهِ فَيَقُولُ اللهُ ﷻ فِيمَ قَتَلْتُمْ هَذَا؟ فَيَقُولُ فِي مُلْكِ فُلَانٍ فَاتَّقِ لَا تَكُونُ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلَ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu 'Imran said to Jundub ibn 'Abdullah: "I have pledged allegiance to Ibn al-Zubayr to fight the people of Sham." Jundub said: "Perhaps you will say 'Jundub gave me a ruling and I will follow it.'" He said: "I do not want that, but I am seeking your ruling so that you may advise me." Jundub said: "Ransom yourself with your wealth." He said: "They will not accept that from me." Jundub said: "I was a young lad during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and so-and-so informed me that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'On the Day of Resurrection, the killed one will come dragging his killer and will say: O Lord, ask him why he killed me. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say: For what did you kill this one? He will say: For the kingdom of so-and-so.' So beware — do not be that man."
