Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10943 حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ النَّسَائِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ثنا مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ مُهَلْهَلٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ «إِنَّ هَذَا الْبَلَدَ حَرَامٌ حَرَّمَهُ اللهُ وَلَمْ يُحِلَّ فِيهِ الْقَتْلَ لِأَحَدٍ قَبْلِي وَأُحِلَّتْ لِي فَهِي حَرَامٌ بِحُرْمَةِ اللهِ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said on the day of the conquest of Makkah: 'This city is sacred, Allah has made it sacred. Fighting was not permitted in it for anyone before me, and it was made permissible for me. It is sacred by the sacredness of Allah.'
