Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10607 حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أَبُو يُوسُفَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَهْبَ بْنَ مُنَبِّهٍ يَقُولُ صَحِبْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَابَ بَصَرُهُ وَبَعْدَمَا أُصِيبَ فَسُئِلَ عَنِ الْقَدَرِ فَقَالَ «وَجَدْتُ أَصَوْبَ النَّاسِ فِيهِ حَدِيثًا أَجْهَلَهُمْ بِهِ وَأَضْعَفَهُمْ فِيهِ حَدِيثًا أَعْلَمَهُمْ بِهِ وَوَجَدْتُ النَّاظِرَ فِيهِ كَالنَّاظِرِ فِي شُعَاعِ الشَّمْسِ كُلَّمَا ازْدَادَ فِيهِ نَظَرًا ازْدَادَ بَصَرُهُ فِيهَا تَحَيُّرًا»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abbas said: "I accompanied Ibn Abbas before and after he lost his eyesight. He was asked about divine decree and said: 'I found that the most correct in speech about it are the most ignorant of it, and the weakest in speech about it are the most knowledgeable of it. I found that looking into it is like looking at the rays of the sun — the more one looks into it, the more bewildered one's vision becomes.'"
