وعن أبي حميد الساعدي رضي الله عنه قال: قالوا: يا رسول الله كيف نصلي عليك؟ قال: "قولوا: اللهم صلِ على محمد، وعلى أزواجه وذريته، كما صليت على آل إبراهيم، وبارك على محمد، وعلى أزواجه وذريته، كما باركت على إبراهيم، إنك حميد مجيد" ((متفق عليه)).
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Abu Humaid As-Sa'idi (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that the Companions of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "O Beloved Messenger of Allah! How should we supplicate for you?" He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) replied, "Say: 'Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)in wa 'ala azwajihi wa dhurriyyatihi, kama sallaita 'ala Ibrahima; wa barik 'ala Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)in wa 'ala azwajihi wa dhurriyyatihi, kama barakta 'ala Ibrahima, innaka Hamidum-Majid (O Allah sent Your Salat (O Allah, exalt the mention of Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and his wives and offspring as You exalted the mention of the family of Ibrahim (upon him be peace), and bless Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and the wives and the offspring of Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as you blessed the family of Ibrahim. You are the Praised, the Glorious'.".
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابوحمید ساعدی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہم آپ پر درود کیسے بھیجیں؟ آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: کہو: اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ۔ (متفق علیہ)
