Narrated Fatimah bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her): Her husband gave her three divorces, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) provided her neither housing nor maintenance. Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to me: "When your waiting period ('iddah) is complete, inform me." So I informed him (peace be upon him). And Mu'awiyah, Abu Jahm, and Usamah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them) sent her (marriage) proposals. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "As for Mu'awiyah, he is destitute, having no wealth; and Abu Jahm beats women a great deal; but Usamah." She indicated with her hand: Usamah, Usamah (i.e., expressing her dislike). And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to her: "Obedience to Allah the Exalted and His Messenger is better for you." So I married him, and the women envied me (i.e., over the success of our marriage). [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 862]
الترجمة الأردية
سیدہ فاطمہ بنت قیس رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہان کے شوہر نے انہیں تین طلاق دے دیں اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے نہ اسے گھر دلوایا اور نہ خرچ۔ سیدہ فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ مجھ سے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ جب تمہاری عدت پوری ہو جائے تو مجھے خبر دینا۔ تو میں نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو خبر دی۔ اور انہیں سیدنا معاویہ، ابوجہم اور اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہم نے (شادی کے لئے) پیغام بھیجا۔ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ معاویہ تو مفلس ہے کہ اس کے پاس مال نہیں اور ابوجہم عورتوں کو بہت مارنے والا ہے مگر اسامہ۔ پس انہوں نے اپنے ہاتھ سے اشارہ کیا کہ اسامہ اسامہ (یعنی اپنی ناپسندیدگی کا اظہار کیا) اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان سے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اور رسول کی فرمانبرداری تجھے بہتر ہے۔ پھر میں نے ان سے نکاح کر لیا اور عورتیں مجھ پر رشک کرنے لگیں۔ (یعنی ہماری شادی کی کامیابی پر)[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 862]
