Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): My maternal aunt was divorced, and she wished to pick the dates of her garden, but a man rebuked her for going out. She came to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he (peace be upon him) said: "Why not — go and pick the dates of your garden, for perhaps you may give some of it in charity (so that others may benefit) or do some other good deed (so that you may benefit)." الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیری خالہ کو طلاق ہو گئی اور انہوں نے چاہا کہ اپنے باغ کی کھجوریں توڑ لیں، تو ایک شخص نے ان کے باہر نکلنے پر انہیں جھڑکا۔ وہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس حاضر ہوئیں تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کیوں نہیں تم جاؤ اور اپنے باغ کی کھجوریں توڑ لو۔ اس لئے کہ شاید تم اس میں سے صدقہ دو (تو اوروں کا بھلا ہو) یا اور کوئی نیکی کرو (کہ تمہارا بھلا ہو)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 859]
