Narrated Nubayh ibn Wahb: We set out with Aban ibn Uthman, and when we reached (the place of) Malal (which is on the way to Makkah, twenty-eight miles from Madinah), the eyes of Umar ibn Ubaydullah began to hurt. And when we reached Rawha and the pain became severe, he sent a man to ask Aban ibn Uthman (about treatment). He said, "Apply a poultice of aloes to them, for Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: When a man's eyes hurt while he is in ihram, let him apply a poultice of aloes to them."
الترجمة الأردية
نبیہ بن وھب کہتے ہیں کہہم ابان بن عثمان کے ساتھ نکلے اور جب (مقام) ملل (جو کہ مکہ کی راہ میں مدینہ سے اٹھائیس میل پر ہے) میں پہنچے تو عمر بن عبیداللہ کی آنکھیں دکھنے لگیں۔ اور جب روحاء (مقام) پر پہنچے اور درد شدید ہو گیا تو انہوں نے ابان بن عثمان سے (علاج کا) پوچھنے کے لئے آدمی بھیجا۔ انہوں نے کہا ایلوے کا لیپ کرو، اس لئے کہ سیدنا عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کی ہے کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: کہ جب مرد کی آنکھیں دکھنے لگیں اور وہ احرام باندھے ہوئے ہو تو ان پر ایلوے کا لیپ کرے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 686]
