Narrated Abdullah ibn Unays (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "I was shown the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr), then it was made me forget it. And I saw (in a dream) that on the morning of that night I would be prostrating in water and mud." The narrator said: It rained upon us on the twenty-third night, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) led us in prayer. When he (peace be upon him) turned away after praying (i.e., the morning prayer), there was the effect of water and mud on his forehead and nose. And Abdullah ibn Unays (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that the twenty-third night was the Night of Decree.
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا عبداللہ بن انیس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: مجھے شب قدر دکھائی گئی تھی پھر بھلا دی گئی۔ اور میں نے (خواب میں) دیکھا کہ اس رات کی صبح کو میں پانی اور کیچڑ میں سجدہ کر رہا ہوں۔ راوی نے کہا کہ ہم پر تئیسویں شب کو بارش برسی اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ہمیں نماز پڑھائی۔ جب آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنماز پڑھ کر پھرے (یعنی صبح کی) تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی پیشانی اور ناک پر پانی اور کیچڑ کا اثر تھا۔ اور سیدنا عبداللہ بن انیس رضی اللہ عنہ تئیسویں رات کو شب قدر کہا کرتے تھے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 636]
