Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): Hasan ibn 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) took one of the dates of charity and put it in his mouth, so the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Ugh, ugh! Throw it away. Do you not know that charity is not lawful for us?"

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہحسن بن علی (رضی اللہ عنہ) نے ایک صدقہ کی کھجور لیکر اپنے منہ میں ڈالی تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: تھو، تھو! اس کو پھینک دے کیا تو نہیں جانتا کہ ہمارے لئے صدقہ حلال نہیں ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 515]
