Narrated Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to pray the supererogatory (nafl) prayer upon his mount, whichever direction it faced (at the outset it is recommended for the mount to face the qiblah). [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim/Hadith: 442]

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسواری پر نفل پڑھا کرتے تھے خواہ اس کا منہ کسی طرف ہو (ابتداء میں سواری قبلہ رخ ہو تو مستحسن ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 442]
