Narrated Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out on the day of Eid, he would command that a spear be planted in front of him. Then he would pray with it as a barrier, and the people would be behind him. He used to do this while traveling, and for this reason the rulers adopted it (i.e., they keep a spear with them). الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجب عید کے دن باہر نکلتے تو اپنے سامنے برچھا گاڑنے کا حکم دیتے۔ پھر اس کی آڑ میں نماز پڑھتے اور لوگ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پیچھے ہوتے اور یہ کام سفر میں کرتے تھے، اسی وجہ سے امیروں نے اس کو مقرر کر لیا ہے (کہ برچھا ساتھ رکھتے ہیں)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 340]
