Narrated Wail bin Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him): He saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) in such a manner that he (peace be upon him), when beginning the prayer, raised both his hands and said "Allahu Akbar." (Hammam, the narrator of this hadith, states that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) raised both his hands up to his ears.) Then he wrapped himself in his cloak, after which he placed his right hand over his left hand. Then when he intended to bow, he (peace be upon him) brought both his hands out from the cloak, raised them up to both his ears, said the takbir, and went into bowing. And when, while standing, he said "Sami Allahu liman hamidah," he also raised his hands. Then he (peace be upon him) prostrated between his two palms.
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا وائل بن حجر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہانہوں نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو اس طور پر دیکھا کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے نماز شروع کرتے وقت اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اٹھائے اور اللہ اکبر کہا۔ (اس حدیث کے راوی ہمام کا بیان ہے کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اپنے دونوں ہاتھ کانوں تک اٹھائے) پھر چادر اوڑھ لی اس کے بعد سیدھا ہاتھ الٹے ہاتھ پر رکھا۔ پھر جب رکوع کا ارادہ کیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے دونوں ہاتھ چادر میں سے باہر نکال کر دونوں کانوں تک اٹھا کر تکبیر پڑھی، اور رکوع میں گئے اور جب بحالت قیام سمع اﷲ لمن حمدہ کہا تو بھی رفع یدین کیا اور پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے دونوں ہتھیلیوں کے درمیان میں سجدہ کیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 277]
