Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Paradise and Hell disputed. Hell said, 'Into me will come the arrogant and the powerful.' And Paradise said, 'What is the matter with me that into me will come only those who are the weakest among the people, the downtrodden (in worldly terms), and the humble (that is, mostly these people)?' Then Allah the Exalted said to Paradise, 'You are My mercy; through you I will show mercy to whomever I will among My servants.' And to Hell He said, 'You are My punishment; through you I will punish whomever I will among My servants, and both of you shall be filled.' Then Hell will not be filled (and will not be satisfied) until Allah the Exalted places His Foot in it. It will say, 'Enough, enough!' Then it will be filled, and its parts will draw together with one another. So Allah the Exalted will not wrong any of His creatures, and for Paradise He will create another creation."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: جنت اور دوزخ نے بحث کی۔ دوزخ نے کہا کہ مجھ میں وہ لوگ آئیں گے جو متکبر اور زور والے ہیں اور جنت نے کہا کہ مجھے کیا ہوا کہ مجھ میں وہی لوگ آئیں گے جو لوگوں میں ناتواں ہیں اور ان میں (دنیا کے لحاظ) سے گرے پڑے ہیں اور عاجز ہیں (یعنی اکثر یہی لوگ ہوں گے)، تب اللہ تعالیٰ نے جنت سے فرمایا کہ تو میری رحمت ہے، میں تیرے ساتھ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس پر چاہوں گا رحمت کروں گا اور دوزخ سے فرمایا کہ تو میرا عذاب ہے، میں تیرے ساتھ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کو چاہوں گا عذاب کروں گا اور تم دونوں بھری جاؤ گی۔ پس دوزخ اس وقت نہ بھرے گی (اور سیر نہ ہو گی) جب تک اللہ تعالیٰ اس میں اپنا پاؤں رکھ دے گا۔ وہ کہے گی کہ بس بس، تب بھر جائے گی اور بعض حصے بعض سے سمٹ جائیں گے۔ پس اللہ تعالیٰ اپنی مخلوقات میں سے کسی پر ظلم نہ کرے گا اور جنت کے لئے دوسری مخلوق پیدا کرے گا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1980]
