It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to seek refuge from an evil decree (evil fate), from falling into wretchedness, from the gloating of enemies, and from the severity of trial. 'Amr also said that Sufyan (the narrator) said: "I have doubt as to whether I added one of these four things to this hadith."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبری قضاء (بری تقدیر)، اور بدبختی میں پڑنے سے، دشمنوں کے خوش ہونے اور آزمائش کی سختی سے پناہ مانگا کرتے تھے۔ عمرو نے یہ بھی کہا کہ سفیان (راوی حدیث) نے کہا کہ مجھے شک ہے کہ ان چار چیزوں میں سے ایک چیز میں نے اس حدیث میں زیادہ کر دی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1912]
