Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Time will draw near, knowledge will be taken away (that is, the time will draw near to the Hour), trials (fitan) will spread (in the world), miserliness will be cast into hearts (people will not give zakat or charity), and harj will be abundant." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! What is harj?" He (peace be upon him) said, "Slaughter and bloodshed (that is, killing and the shedding of blood)."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: زمانہ قریب ہو جائے گا اور علم اٹھا لیا جائے گا (یعنی زمانہ قیامت کے قریب ہو جائے گا) اور (عالم میں) فتنے پھیل جائیں گے۔ اور دلوں میں بخیلی ڈال دی جائے گی (لوگ زکوٰۃ اور خیرات نہ دیں گے) اور ہرج بہت ہو گا۔ لوگوں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! ہرج کیا ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ کشت و خون (یعنی قتل و خونریزی)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1857]
