Narrated Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "It is not permissible for a Muslim to forsake (speaking to) his Muslim brother for more than three nights, such that when they meet, one turns his face this way and the other turns his face that way. And the better of the two is the one who greets first with the salam."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوایوب انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: کسی مسلمان کو یہ بات درست نہیں ہے کہ وہ اپنے مسلمان بھائی سے تین راتوں سے زیادہ تک (بولنا) چھوڑ دے، اس طرح پر کہ وہ دونوں ملیں تو ایک اپنا منہ ادھر اور دوسرا اپنا منہ ادھر پھیر لے اور ان دونوں میں بہتر وہ ہو گا جو سلام میں پہل کرے گا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1801]
