Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) as a marfu' report: "People are like mines of gold and silver. Those who were the best in the pre-Islamic era are the best after accepting Islam, provided they acquire understanding of the religion. And souls are like assembled troops; those among them who recognized one another (there) become friends in this world, and those who were apart there remain apart here too."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ مرفوعاً روایت کرتے ہیں کہلوگ سونے چاندی کی معدنی کانوں کی طرح ہیں۔ جو جاہلیت میں اچھے ہوتے ہیں وہ اسلام قبول کرنے کے بعد بھی اچھے ہوتے ہیں، جب کہ وہ دین کی سمجھ حاصل کر لیں۔ اور روحیں جھنڈ کے جھنڈ ہیں۔ پھر جنہوں نے ان میں سے ایک دوسرے کی پہچان کی تھی، وہ دنیا میں بھی دوست ہوتی ہیں اور جو وہاں الگ تھیں، یہاں بھی الگ رہتی ہیں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1772]
