Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: Among the Successors there is a best man called Uways, who has a mother (that is, of his relatives only his mother will be living), and he will have a whiteness (a spot of leukoderma). Tell him to pray for you.

سیدنا عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ تابعین میں ایک بہترین شخص ہے جس کو اویس کہتے ہیں، اس کی ایک ماں ہے (یعنی رشتہ داروں میں سے صرف ماں زندہ ہو گی) اور اس کو ایک سفیدی ہو گی۔ تم اس سے کہنا کہ تمہارے لئے دعا کرے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1747]
