Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever kills a gecko with the first blow has such-and-such reward, and whoever kills it with the second blow has such-and-such reward, but less than the first time, and whoever kills it with the third blow has such-and-such reward, but less than the second time." In another narration it is that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever kills a gecko with the first blow will have a hundred good deeds written for him, and whoever kills it with the second blow, less than that, and whoever kills it with the third blow, less than that."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ جو شخص گرگٹ کو پہلی مار میں مارے، اس کو اتنا ثواب ہے اور جو دوسری مار میں مارے، اس کو اتنا ثواب ہے لیکن پہلی بار سے کم اور جو تیسری مار میں مارے، اس کو اتنا ثواب ہے لیکن دوسری بار سے کم۔ ایک دوسری روایت میں ہے کہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: جو شخص گرگٹ کو پہلی مار میں مارے اس کی سو نیکیاں لکھی جائیں گی اور جو دوسری مار میں مارے، اس کو اس سے کم اور جو تیسری مار میں مارے، اس کو اس سے کم۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1501]
