Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) commanded licking the fingers and wiping the plate clean, saying: "You do not know in which part of the food the blessing lies."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے انگلیوں اور برتن کو چاٹنے (صاف کرنے) کا حکم دیا اور فرمایا کہ تم نہیں جانتے کہ برکت (کھانے کے کس لقمہ یا جزو میں) کس میں ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1303]
