Mujashi ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I brought my brother Abu Ma'bad to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) after the Conquest (of Mecca) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Take allegiance from him upon migration (hijrah)." He (peace be upon him) said, "Migration has ended with the Muhajirun." I said, "Then upon what will you (peace be upon him) take his allegiance?" He (peace be upon him) said, "Upon Islam, jihad, and goodness." Abu Uthman said: I met Abu Ma'bad and related to him what Mujashi had said, and he said, "Mujashi spoke the truth."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا مجاشع بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں اپنے بھائی ابومعید کو فتح (مکہ) کے بعد رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس لایا اور میں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! اس سے ہجرت پر بیعت لیجئے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ہجرت مہاجرین کے ساتھ ہو چکی۔ میں نے کہا کہ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماس سے کس چیز پر بیعت لیں گے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اسلام، جہاد اور نیکی پر۔ ابوعثمان نے کہا کہ میں ابومعید سے ملا اور ان سے مجاشع کا کہنا بیان کیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ مجاشع نے سچ کہا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1185]
